Jennifer O'Neill began her dance training in Los Angeles, studying ballet, jazz, contemporary, tap, hip hop, and gymnastics. After performing and competing throughout Southern California, Jen moved to the Bay Area in 2004 to continue her dance education. After graduating from Saint Mary's College of California with a BA in Dance, Jen held an adjunct position at Saint Mary’s teaching Jazz and Hip Hop to dance majors and minors. She spent two years working with the talented students and faculty at her Alma Mater. Ms. O’Neill has been fortunate to teach in various settings over the last twenty+ years, including higher education, public and private schools, arts enrichment programs and private studios.
Ms. O’Neill is currently on faculty at Center for Community Arts where she has been integral in building and growing the youth program and heading the adult program. Ms. O’Neill is the Artistic Director of the Community Arts Dance Ensemble, a multi-generational dance company performing new works throughout the East Bay. Jen is also on Faculty at Ace Dance Academy and is the Program Director of the Ace Leadership Program.
In addition to her many teaching credits, Jen has trained and performed with choreographers and companies in LA, New York, and the Bay Area. She was a featured dancer with Paufve Dance, Dana Lawton Dances and Davalos Dance Company here in the Bay Area and a soloist with Hart Pulse Dance Company in Los Angeles.
Ms. O’Neill is the former Co-President of the Community Arts Foundation, an arts non-profit providing arts experiences, access, funding and advocacy for underserved individuals in the SF Bay Area. She remains on the Board of Directors, lending her skills and passion for the arts to the non-profit community.
Jen is passionate about sharing her love and knowledge of dance with students of all ages, levels and abilities.
